The President of the United States, Donald Trump, said on Sunday that he is “not happy at all” with Russian President Vladimir Putin, after Moscow launched a drone attack against Ukraine.

“I am not at all happy with what Putin is doing. He is killing a lot of people and I don’t know what happened to Putin,” said Trump from Morristown airport before boarding Air Force One.

“I have known him for a long time. I have always gotten along well with him, but he is sending rockets to cities and killing people, I don’t like this at all,” he added.
Trump criticized the recent Russian attacks on Ukraine and said he is considering imposing sanctions on Moscow.
The US president gave statements to the media at Andrews Air Force Base, from where he was planning to travel to the White House, after spending the weekend at his golf course in Bedminster, New Jersey.
Trump’s words refer to the Russian attacks suffered by Ukraine on Saturday night into Sunday, the worst in weeks.
Sanctions imposition
The bombings left at least 12 dead and 79 injured, after Russia launched hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles on the last day of the exchange process of 1,000 prisoners from each of the warring sides agreed upon last week in Istanbul.
When asked if he considers imposing sanctions on Putin due to this latest offensive, Trump responded, “absolutely, he is killing a lot of people.”
“We are in the midst of conversations and they are firing rockets at Kiev and other cities. I don’t like it at all,” added the U.S. president, who said he was “very surprised” by Moscow’s actions.
Since returning to power in January and starting to mediate between Russia and Ukraine, Trump has warned several times about the possibility of imposing new sanctions on Moscow if the Kremlin does not make an effort to achieve a ceasefire agreement.
Faced with the magnitude of the Russian attacks, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on Sunday for international actors, especially the United States and European countries, to increase pressure on Russia.
