The Nothing brand is already known for its eye-catching phones with that minimalist and transparent touch that sets them apart. But until now, their offerings had remained in the mid-range and budget segments.

That is about to change with the arrival of the Nothing Phone 3, which promises to fully enter the big league: the realm of premium phones.

Carl Pei wants to go all in
During the latest Android Show, Carl Pei, CEO of Nothing, officially presented the Nothing Phone 3 and confirmed that the new device will be arriving this summer (meaning between June and August). Pei assured that this model will feature:
- High-quality materials
- A great leap in performance
- Software that truly enhances the experience
All of this with one single objective: to become the brand’s first “authentic” flagship smartphone. But beware, premium comes with a price.
And how much will it cost to compete with the big players?
Pei announced that the Nothing Phone 3 will cost around £800, which translates to approximately $1060 USD / AU$1640, although exact conversions may vary depending on the region.
If they follow the same logic as the Phone 2 release, we could be talking about a price of $800 in the US and around AU$1350 in Australia.
That places it directly in the territory of the iPhone 16, Galaxy S25, and Google Pixel 9. In other words, it competes against the big names, with all the spotlight on it.
Can the Nothing Phone 3 earn a place at the top?
The big question is whether the Nothing Phone 3 will have what it takes to justify that premium price and convince users that it’s worth looking beyond Apple, Samsung, or Google.
With an eye-catching aesthetic, good software experience, and a unique focus on design, it could have a chance. But the market is not easy.
For now, we have to wait for it to be fully revealed, although those looking for something more accessible also have options: the mid-range models Nothing Phone 3a and 3a Pro will arrive to offer a similar experience... without breaking the bank.
