Worldwide crash of X, Elon Musk's social network: users report issues loading posts

The social platform experienced intermittent failures this Monday and so far there has been no official statement regarding the cause of the issue.

Since the early hours of this Monday, thousands of users in different parts of the world have experienced failures in X, the social network that previously operated under the name of Twitter and is owned by Elon Musk, Donald Trump’s right-hand man in the new government of the United States.

According to Downdetector, a specialized service in monitoring digital interruptions, the platform outage began at 6:39 a.m. and lasted for approximately one hour. Although the system started to recover at 8:40 a.m., it again showed instability at 10:39 a.m., affecting users trying to access its content.

What is the cause of the failure and when will it be resolved?

Failures have been reported in mobile devices, laptops, and desktop computers. It also includes devices operating on iOS and Android.

The detected problems are related to the loading of publications and other content on the platform. When trying to access, users receive messages such as “Try again” or “Something went wrong. Try reloading”, hindering normal navigation.

Problems have also been detected in direct messages.

So far, X has not issued an official statement explaining the origin of the failure nor has indicated when the service will be fully restored.

Other social media platforms, such as BlueSky, Instagram, and Facebook, are operating normally and without issues.
